John Bailitz, MD

John Bailitz completed medical school at Northwestern followed by residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. As an attending at Cook County, he served as Clerkship Director, Assistant Program Director, Advising and Remediation Committee Chair, before starting an interdisciplinary Clinical Ultrasound Fellowship for EM, PEM, Critical Care and Hospitalist. Along the way, John completed both the ACEP Teaching Fellowship, as well as the ACEP EMBRS Fellowship. Most recently, John served as the Collaborative Research Director and Academic Associate Program co-founder, publishing numerous articles in trauma, US and novel procedures. John currently is Chair of ACEP Online Education, President of the Society for Clinical US Fellowships, and part of the Organizing Committee for the Social Media and Critical Care Conference. He recently became the Program Director for Northwestern Emergency Medicine. John is most passionate about the application of innovative ideas and technology in healthcare and education.
